Fresh off from wordpress.tv , today they introduced Hookpress. What is Hookpress ?
HookPress allows you to set up webhooks so that a specified URL (a public service or something you set up) is requested when certain WordPress actions occur. Possible uses include generating push notifications or using non-PHP web technology to extend WordPress. This introduction by the plugin author, mitcho, gives you a brief overview of HookPress and a couple of examples for getting started.

Once you want to get your hands and feet dirty , the author(mitcho) of Hookpress recommends Sciptlets for testing and hosting your little piece of code.
Personally , i’m not a coder but i love using wordpress so this sort of news(probably stale news to some) to me are pretty exciting. I’m guessing it will take some time for this to take off or maybe it already did. Again I’m not that sure , i’m not a coder.
Anyway if you’re already using this particular plugin or web hook in general , how are you using it?

I already see myself replacing the WordTwit plugin with this one + my one little piece of code. Comfortable.
