Rideback looks great!

Not going to do a review on Rideback because i can’t review for nuts. Just do a simple search and you’ll tons of them talking about it or you can just refer to Random Curiosity, . But for me, it has been a while since i followed any series. The graphics is definitely really wonderful, reminds me a bit of 5cm per second and the CG robo-bike wasn’t that out of the place as well, landscape very well colored, action was fast and fluid, background music was great(i like classic music in anime) and everything feels very well molded together and most importantly rideback taste great. One thing i hope this anime wouldn’t do is fighting or anything to do with guns and violence but they showed a combat scene involving the bikes T_T , don’t let Rin see battle please.

I do have a few rants though.

#1: Shouldn’t common sense tell you if you wear a dress, don’t ride ? Also don’t jump up so high just to get onto the bike and reveal your pantsu for the whole world to see!? Why didn’t she test the brakes?! Looks like she doesn’t have a riding license too.

#2: Why do characters in anime always stumble onto or are given technologically insane machines? Real life sucks, why can’t normal people like us stumble onto technologically insane machines that no one wants to use ?

#3: after reading Omni’s review of rideback, i’m not the only one that thinks it reminds a bit of 5cm per second during the show. But still that doesn’t mean i’m good in reviewing anime so just stick to Omni’s site.

“….For starters, the production quality is amazing. The ballet scene to start the episode was beautiful (the immediate contrast to war made it all that much better), and the certain parts of the sakura petals scene even reminded me of 5 Centimeters Per Second…..”

This is one heck of a show… Well, if you can look pass through the insane mecha-bikes, of course.

On the whole however, it seemed interesting: the show, the premise, the character development… I’m giving this a 3-episode test, to gauge whether it’s worth my time to watch it.

I’m loving this series so far, but I also fear for the worst with the whole theme of the government having taken over and all.

Seriously, see the manga. The violence is a definite positive. But it will probably happen differently. Also see the next episode teaser at the end of ep 3… Violence… is… a… MUST…
