Hellboy 2 and the golden morons

I thought, hellboy 2 : the golden army was about hellboy and the golden army stopping a demon from hell. Turns out it was the other way round, hellboy was stopping the golden army. If you visit the offical site, they pretty much showed most of the action scenes already. So if you decide to wait for cable to show it, please do.

I wouldn’t say this is a bad movie, the actions and overall story is pretty good but it feels more like drama series rather than a standalone movie. Maybe is the camera angle or maybe I was feeling really tired having watch this movie late at night, 0010hours in fact. Anyway, i was quite dissapointed in the way the movie is told. It started off with a bedtime story hellboy use to listen  when he was young then the elf price decides to revive the golden army to destroy the humans. Very rushed and unplanned i would say, i would prefer if the prince were to use it together with the help from hellboy to stop the forces of doom. Sadly i’m ain’t the director nor producer so my side of the story couldn’t be used. One redeeming point of this movie is that my friend paid the ticket for me, wait a minute, that doesn’t sound right, that didn’t happen in the movie, Blah.

Anyway, with an average of 7/10 given by many critics, i feel this movie isn’t really that great nor should you catch it anytime soon, there are a lot better movies to select from right now like Dark knight or Red cliff, so if you haven’t watch this yet, you don’t have to. But if your friend is footing the bill, why not.

    i prefer the first one.

the golden army only appeared briefly, the final showdown with the elf prince is kinda disappointing and young hellboy looks like a puppet!
